The Legislative is the law making arm of the Abi Local Government. it is headed by the Leader who is elected from among the councilors on the day of the inauguration of the legislative council. Abi Legislative Council comprises of ten (10) Councilors representing the ten wards of the Local Government area. It is manage by the leader, deputy leader, majority leader, deputy majority leader and the chief whip who constitute the select-committee of the House. The Clerk of the House is the Head of Secretariat of the Legislative council, next to him is the Deputy clerk and other supporting staff.
