Abuja – The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the release of deployment details for prospective corps members of the 2025 Batch C stream, with call-up letters now accessible online.
In a post on its official X handle on Monday, the scheme confirmed that the deployment process is underway, urging prospective corps members (PCMs) to check their status promptly.
However, due to capacity constraints at orientation camps across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), some PCMs posted to Lagos and the FCT will be reassigned to camps in neighbouring states.
“Some prospective corps members deployed to Lagos have their orientation course in Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun and Osun camps,” the NYSC stated, adding that those posted to the FCT will undergo their service year orientation in Kaduna, Niger and Nasarawa camps.
This measure, the scheme explained, addresses the limited accommodation, which can only host about 40 per cent of registered PCMs for the upcoming programme.
The NYSC also issued a safety advisory, warning PCMs against night travels to camps and reminding them to print and sign all necessary documents, including call-up letters, for submission during registration.
Last week, the scheme had released call-up numbers following the closure of online registration on November 9. The portal opened on November 4 for both locally and foreign-trained graduates.
According to the NYSC mobilisation timetable, foreign-trained graduates underwent pre-camp physical verification from November 9 to 13, while ICT processing ran from November 12 to 15.
Corps-producing institutions were tasked with facilitating the online printing and physical distribution of call-up letters between November 16 and 18, during which PCMs were expected to download their documents.
The development has elicited mixed reactions from PCMs, with many expressing concerns over the reassignments, while others welcomed the transparency in the process.
